Weston Ruter [ˈwɛsˌtn̩ ˈɹuːˌɾɚ] is a long-time WordPress contributor. After years of working on expanding site-editing capabilities in WordPress core via the Customizer, he is now focused on improving the user experience for frontend visitors. He’s working with the AMP project to make WordPress sites fast, with the goal of democratizing performance. He’s also working on making WordPress more capable by incorporating new progressive technologies (e.g. PWA). Weston lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and their two boys.
